Three weeks ago, Daniel Matsunaga was the subject of much controversy, after a clip showing the Brazilian-Japanese hottie in what appeared to be a liplocking scene with an unknown lady inside an elevator spread like wildfire over the internet.

In two days, the clip posted in You Tube amassed at least 250,000 hits, and was even featured in various news programs. It turned out to be a teaser for a promotional activity for Veet, the world’s top depilatory product.

Veet’s new promo, entitled “Veet Me!” features none other than hunky Daniel, who will help young Filipinas Veet their way to smoother legs.

“In a survey we asked our target market, ‘Who would you like to be stuck with in an elevator?’ and Daniel topped the list,” reports VEET assistant brand manager Isa Marfori. “There is a natural match between VEET women and the Brapanese hunk. He is a rising star, hot, and is desired by many women.”

The lucky winner will have a date with Daniel Matsunaga where he will personally VEET the winner’s legs. She will also bring home an Apple i-Pad, while runners-up will receive an i-Pod touch, an i-Pod nano, iPod shuffles and Veet gift packs.

Back from Holy Week — it’s a very big deal for my family, observed with much solemnity, as in pabasa, Via Crucis, Visita Iglesia, and all.  I do  hope everyone had a meaningful Lenten season this year.

Before we went off to Holy Week, the gang and I spent Friday night at Mall of Asia, most of it spent walking along the bay and hitting the bar.

As usual, we had a fun time camwhoring — don’t we always?

After the Palm Sunday mass, I went shopping with Adrian and my family, because summer’s here and we’re planning to hit the beach soon!

My friends have been ragging on me to get a new swimsuit. I know, I know — my old bathing costume wasn’t exactly the height of fashion but it was so comfy. But I was thinking it was time for a new look, alth0ugh these newfangled bits of swimsuit will take some getting used to…

And because my twitter friends have been recommending this beauty product called Veet, I decided to go and get some as well, although I had to get the beauty consultant to explain it to me. Apparently, there is a solution to hairy genes!

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity for me, and it’s been a great experience.  I’ve tried out a lot of new things, and I’ve met so many wonderful people lately.

I feel different, like a change is coming over me. What this is, I don’t exactly know at this point, but I’m looking forward to something new. A new me, maybe? We’ll see.

I loaded up on brochures from various companies, and it didn’t hurt to look, but I think I’ll stay where I am for the moment. After a year of working, I’m pretty happy with our team at the office, and I learn a lot everyday!

After a quick chillout session at McCafe, we headed to Piazza Venezia at McKinley Hill. It’s a great place with lots of restaurants to choose from. We finally settled on Tokyo Cafe, where we had a selection of soups, pizza (we all love pizza!), pasta, and milkshakes.

Tin’s dog Chubi came from a vet checkup that morning so we decided to walk him at Serendra… It was so hot and Chubi got tired, he mostly wanted to loll about on the ground. Haha!

It was another great day out with the girls! We’re planning another outing on Friday, will keep you posted on where we’re going.

I’m back! Sorry for the blogging backlog, the last week has been a whirlwind of activity, especially since I found out my sister wants to move in with me here in Manila.

Anyway, so I did check out a bunch of colleges for my sister (hey sis, you owe me ha!), good thing I had Tin and Adrian to go with me to Mendiola and U-Belt so it wasn’t such a tedious task. And some of my friends on Twitter were there too — I’ve been seeing them everywhere lately.

It was a hot day and a long walk around the schools so we decided to go to Rob place for a hearty dinner — my treat, as I felt guilty dragging my friends along on my errands.

I also promised Adrian I’d go barhopping with him on Saturday night, so that’s exactly what we did. I didn’t have work that night so we ended up at Metro Walk, where we listened to the live band and then headed to Club Phi for dinner. Then we headed over to Techno Wave at Tomas Morato where we partied all night — totally awesome!

Tomorrow, I’m headed to the Manila Bulletin Classifieds Job Fair at the Glorietta activity center. Not that I don’t like my job, but who knows, there might be an opportunity there somewhere. Then the girls and I are having lunch at McKinley Hill, and going dog walking at Serendra in the afternoon. Let’s hope it’s not too hot tomorrow!

Tired but happy after dinner!

I have a rest day tomorrow, but I don’t think I’ll get much of that — my little sis wants to move in with me here in Manila so I’m checking out a bunch of schools tomorrow afternoon. Will drop in on the Mendiola Schools (CHS, CEU, La Consolacion) around 2pm, then go to UBelt to check out UE and FEU around 4pm, and then have a nice dinner at Rob Place afterwards.

RPattz fanatics!

The movie was soooo good! We started squealing the moment RPattz came onscreen. We didn’t know he could act that well, and the twist in the ending was… whoa! RPattz — keep making movies please! You can always count on us to watch with you!

Phew, finally I’ve caught up with my blogging. Tomorrow I’ll be out with the girls again with one agenda in mind: SHOPPING! We’re hitting two malls in one afternoon, heading to Megamall around 2pm or so, then Trinoma by 4pm (Tin has to meet someone — yihee!!!) and on to dinner.

Will spend Sunday getting much-needed rest at home with the family.

I discovered Paramore because of Twilight, one of my favorite film sagas (I liked the books too!) and their vocalist Hayley Williams just blows me away! I’ve been looking forward to this concert ever since the girls and I found out they were coming to Manila, and March 9 couldn’t come soon enough.

After getting some shut-eye off my night shift, I met up with Tin and Carla at Mall of Asia for an early dinner, and I was pretty famished but they wanted to do some window shopping, and so we had a nice workout before the meal as we strolled along the sprawling mall (thank goodness I was wearing sensible shoes!).

We then headed to Unit 8 for a nice, leisurely dinner:

And then the concert! It was loads of fun!

Paramore performed Ignorance, Crushcrushcrush, Thats What You Get, Looking Up, Careful,  Let The Flames Begin, Never Let This Go, and The Only Exception… and then by the time they got to Pressure we had to clear out because the girls were hungry (again! must be the sea breeze) and I had to catch my shift at work. So we capped the night with yummy pizza at UNO Pizzeria and then I had to fly off to the office for another night on the graveyard shift.

My next post will be on the Remember Me premiere last night, as soon as I get the photos from my friends We’re planning a shopping day on Saturday, hitting two major malls in the metro for some serious shopping! More on this later.

This post is actually for my Papang in Siquijor, who’s a big PBA fan. When I first came to Manila some years ago, I promised him I’d watch a PBA game for him — I finally had the chance last week, and it was the PBA championships no less.

Too bad none of Papang’s favorite players (in high socks and short shorts) are still playing!

The girls still owe me pix from that day — we had so much fun: lunch at Little Asia in Greenhills, and then we took the MRT to Cubao. We even did some videoke — of course I sang my favorite kundimans! Then we had chips at Cafe Bola before the big ballgame. Tin and Carla, if you’re reading, please email me the photos so I can update my Multiply.

I’m totally getting the hang of these social networking sites — and I’m getting some followers too! Strangely, my twitter has gone from three followers to 90 (!) practically overnight! I seem to be getting some weird tweets though. I’ve gotten quite a few tweets that talk about “catching” me… and one even wanted to “shoot” me! Is this normal? Oh well. Maybe it’s Tweetspeak for something else?

Planning my outfit for tomorrow’s outing at MOA for the Paramore concert. Have just gotten my best terno pressed, I want to look my best for Paramore (maybe I should try a goth look? Like that pasty-faced dude in Twilight?)… I have a night shift to catch tomorrow so the after-concert is kind of questionable, but the girls told me we have reservations at Unit 8 and then Cafe UNO at Bluewave before the concert. I CAN’T WAIT!
